Welcome to the page describing the CESNW/SSP Summer Institutes and Seminars! We hope you will find one or more institutes that will help deepen your understanding of key teaching strategies and strengthen your craft knowledge. The institutes are open to all, regardless of your affiliation with either the Small Schools Project or Coalition of Essential Schools Northwest.

We want to encourage teams of teachers, building administrators, and district leaders to participate in our institutes, and will offer a discount to teams from schools or districts. Teams of three or more enrolling for the same activity will qualify for a discount. We will also provide the discount whenever we have ten or more participants from the same district.

The chart below will help you see when the institutes and seminars are offered to help you avoid registering for overlapping activities. Please note that all seminars and institutes will be offered on the University of Puget Sound campus in Tacoma (WA), except the first Socratic Seminar, which will take place at the Pasco (WA) ESD.
